Volunteer

We work hard and get dirty but we have a friendly crew and always have a good time on the weekends. Most volunteers usually come out for half a day on Saturdays or Sundays. Work is typically from around 7:30 - 12:30, however our foreman and interns also work Monday-Friday.

On the weekends we have both volunteers and work-share members. The difference between the two is that work share members make a commitment to work each week a minimum of 4-6 hours in exchange for a weekly CSA share. Work is typically on Saturday from 7:30-12:30. We have a limited number of work share positions available.

We also have volunteers who regularly come out to the farm and work on the weekends. The difference with volunteers is that they typically do not get to take a CSA share home, however they are free to harvest a reasonable amount of their favorite produce in exchange for their work. Volunteers also do not have to make a commitment to work each weekend. If you would like to volunteer you can come out any weekend; we would just appreciate an e-mail to let us know if you are coming. We have no limit on the number of volunteers we take.

We recommend you wear long sleeves and pants for protection and sturdy shoes. Also consider bringing a large brimmed hat, a jug of ice water and snacks. If you like you may want to also bring gloves. Work on the weekends typically consists of a variety of tasks including harvesting, washing and packing vegetables.
